How Much Does Easter Craft Cost
This is supposed to be an inexpensive craft. We have a lot of yarn around the house because I am a knitter. However, if you do not have yarn at home, there are a lot of budget yards at the craft store or big box stores like Walmart. I would look for the yarns in the clearance bin or buy the yarns that are under $2. These yarns tend to be a scratcher yarn but since you will not be using this yarn as something to wear so it is ok that it is scratchy.
Google eyes tend to be about $1 a pack and then you will need glue. I like to use hot glue because it sets faster than craft clue. However, for younger children who want to do the glue themselves or if you do not have a hot glue gun, Elmer’s glue can be used.

How to Make a Pompom Chick
Start by wrapping the yard around your fingers or around cardboard. Wrap it around as much as you want to create the size of the pompom.
Slide it off and then tie a piece of yarn around the yarn ball, through the middle and the loops are on each side.
Take a pair of scissors and cut through the loops.
If you want a smaller more compact pompom, a more traditional pompom, you can then trim the edges of the strings. We chose to make pompoms with long strings for most of ours.
Using a hot glue gun, glue the googly eyes
Cut a piece off of the orange pipe cleaner and bend it in half. Glue the pipe cleaner on the bottom of the pompom for feet.
Glue a small ball or pipe cleaner for the nose.
